This is a decagonal instrument, of enconada shape. It has wood patches in both sides and a hole on the center very similar to the Peruvian cajon drums. The batajón provide an interesting sound alternatives, it is very similar to the Batá drums; however, thanks to many years of research and experiments, I personally would said that there are some mayor important advantages between the KS Batajones over the Batá drums. For instance, Kiki Sanchez Batajones are lighter, easier to play and less expensive than normal Batás, In addition these batajones have a unique and wonderful sound that will inspired you to play and discover new rhythms. The Batajones has been using in Afro-Peruvian music; however, these intruments can be used in any music style. This set of Batajones consist on the Iya, Itotele and Okonkolo. Including a nylon strap to keep the drum in possition while is playing and one gig bag for each drum. Visite www.kikisanchez.com …
