Built E-HCS-MDT Hoodie Camera Case

I personally LOVE all Built NY products. This one comes with a hard shell on the bottom half to protect the camera. However, because it completely closes with the top coming over it, it’s very difficult to get the camera in and out very quickly to capture those “perfect shots” wherever you may be!
So if you are looking for a camera case that will protect as you travel, this is the one. Very durable, good quality… i would have just like a better top fixture like the regular Built NY electric pockets.

This was purchased for our new Canon Powershot SD1100IS. The fit is a little snug but is ok. The back of the case is rigid and the front is flexible fabric. I think the rigid back offers more protection in case the camera is dropped. I’m giving it 4 stars because the wrist strap is a little flimsy and there is nothing to attach to a belt. I bought it mostly because of the small size and nice colors/patterns. It will easily fit into a small purse and the camera is very secure once it’s inside.

Got this case for my new digital camera to take on a week and half vacation. It’s small and fit nicely in my messenger bag and was easy to get camera in and out of however the stitching on the back of it started to unravel after day 5…

I really like the Built brand stuff. It’s not super heavy duty bulletproof protection, but it’s great for keeping dust and dirt off of your camera while providing some protection for the lcd screen. When I was looking for a case for my Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1 Digital Camera, I wasn’t sure if this would be a good fit or not. I hoped for the best and ordered it anyway, and was pleased to find that it fit just fine.

Our family has several of these and not one holds a camera! I use one for my huge original Zune and another for an iTouch. Both of my kids use them to hold iPods. The hard back makes it easy to slip in an mp3 player and offers some protection against dropping. Cords and earbuds fit in the back pocket. The stretchy hood prevents the player from falling out accidently in a purse or backpack.
As a professor I travel around campus a lot and need to carry with me little items like my cell phone, lipstick, ID, a bit of cash and a keydrive. Women’s professional clothing never has pockets which makes it hard. I’ve tried a zippered pouch or wrist bag but it looks too much like a makeup bag and the zipper makes a surprising amount of noise. A purse or briefcase is too big and a folio doesn’t work with bulky items. This little case is perfect – I can fit everything in and just have one item to carry. The black one looks professional and can be opened without any noise. But the best part is that with the hood open, the whole thing props up, making it easy to get at things inside. I leave it propped open on my desk and all I have to do is grab my key drive and go! It movies easily from briefcase to desk to classroom to meetings to home.
